Here at Home Care by ALTRES Medical we’re dedicated to providing our clients with a higher level of care. To us, you’re more than just a name on a list; you’re someone with a unique and exciting story to tell.

We pride ourselves on taking time to understand who you are and how we can work together to provide the best care possible. Because we realize that a relationship is a two-way street, we would like to share 6 unique things about our company and services that you may not already know.

1. We have over 19 years of experience in supplying local hospitals with our nurses

Since the year 2000, ALTRES Medical has been serving Hawaii as the state’s leading provider of supplemental nurse staffing. Though our roots are in hospital nursing services, the increasing demand for in-home services led us to expand our services from hospitals to homes. Armed with over 19 years of experience, we utilize industry knowledge to make sure that our caregivers are not only skilled, credentialed, or licensed, but possess the right demeanor and personality to complement that of your loved one before they ever step foot into your home.

2. There’s no charge for our in-home consultation and assessment

During the in-home consultation and assessment, our goal is to get to know you and your loved one. At the same time, it’s a great opportunity for you to learn more about Home Care by ALTRES Medical and understand what home care will mean for your family. Even if you don’t need our services right now, meeting with us is a great way to get the conversation started and build good insight into what care options are available. Our team of professionals has a wealth of resources and educational material and we are more than happy to share it with you.

3. Our Care Manager plans the care with you

When it comes to making the most out of home care, we know firsthand that a one-size-fits-all approach just doesn’t work. That’s why we have a dedicated Care Manager who works with you to develop a customized care plan. This care plan takes into account your loved one’s specific needs, preferences, interests, and scheduling. Our Care Manager teams up with our caregivers to implement, manage, and evaluate all aspects of your loved one’s care.

4. We take continuity seriously

We believe that matching our clients with the same caregiver for every shift makes for a better all-around experience and is important in building a sense of safety and comfort in the care you receive. That’s why shifts are never scheduled through an open sign-up sheet, but rather personally handled by our Care Manager. If for some reason we need to schedule our client with a new caregiver, we let them know ahead of time to help minimize any surprises and allow family members time to communicate effectively with their loved ones.

5. We provide home care services for more than just seniors

Senior Care and Companionship is just one of the levels of care that we provide. Perhaps you need someone to look after your aging father a few hours a week while you run personal errands. Or maybe you could benefit from having some help around the house while you recover from a major surgery or illness. Or you may have a loved one with a disability who needs assistance with daily living activities. Our team is equipped to provide every level of care to our clients. Whether you need care for as little as three hours a week or up to 24 hours a day for the entire year, our wide range of services ensures that you and your loved one can continue to live comfortably at home.

6. We push for continued education

Education and knowledge are key to providing high-quality care in Hawaii. We offer all of our caregivers the opportunity to grow academically and professionally by holding classes here at our office, connecting them with schools and training programs, and directing them to resources. Additionally, our in-house home care team regularly attends conferences, fairs, and events so that we are always aware of what resources and information available in order to better serve you and your loved one.

If you have questions about us or the home care services we provide, please contact us at (808) 591-4930. We look forward to speaking with you and learning more about how we can help.
